BAMBOOS SUMMER TOUR j2

The Summer Tour 2019 will be the most diverse one yet for the 7 Bamboos women’s and men’s teams. Besides the usual contingent of 7s tournaments, in 2019 the tour schedule has been boosted by some exciting beach and touch rugby events.

It was around two years ago, at the London Beach Rugby, when the team last played on a sandy surface. This summer, both squads travel to the stunning beaches of Exmouth in Devon, to compete at the South West Beach Rugby tournament, staged at the 29th of June.

In about three weeks, the season gets traditionally underway with our home tournament, the Hartpury Sevens on the 18th May. Two weeks later, the team is making the short trip to Cleve RFC in Bristol, to compete at the SW7s Festival.

On the 15th June, the Bamboos are off to Frome in Somerset, entering the Frome Sevens for the third consecutive year. In July the men’s team are returning to the Avon 7s in Bath, before the season gets rounded up with two touch rugby tournaments.

First, the 7 Bamboos-hosted Hartpury Corporate Challenge Cup on the 19th of July, followed by a charity touch tournament organised by our friends from “The Godfathers” on 3rd of August at our training ground Shaftesbury Park in Bristol.

All interested female and male players interested to get involved are invited to join our weekly training sessions, each Wednesday at Shaftesbury Park, home of Dings Crusaders. The women’s training starts at 18:30 while the men’s one starts at 19:30.

If you would like to mark your availability for any of the tournaments, please use the links below or add your contact details to the form below.
