On another lovely summer day, 16 teams came down to Hartpury to compete for the 4th Hartpury Corporate Challenge Cup. The annual corporate touch tournament offers teams a great opportunity to enjoy a day out of office, team bonding and networking.
Title defenders Rolls Royce managed to make it to the Cup final once again, however this year it was their opponents Deloitte, which had the last word in an exciting and very tight contest which ended 4:3. Hosts Hartpury lost to Deloitte in the semi-finals while Rolls Royce beat Safran Landing System in the other Cup semi-final.
In the Plate Final Cheltenham-based Kohler Mira Showers beat HCR Law 6:4 while Super Dry went home with the Shield trophy after beating Business West 4:5.
This year, the teams didn’t just enjoy plenty of action on the rugby pitch but also had the opportunity to show their skill set in a milking contest and horse riding competition off the field. Thanks to representatives from the equine and agriculture departments, racehorse Trigger and cow Daisy, were onsite to determine the milking and horse riding champion.
