With a new main sponsor and a new training base secured, the Bamboos women’s and men’s teams will kick-off their sixth consecutive season this Friday.
Following last year’s successful launch of the Bamboos women’s team, in close partnership with Bristol-based club Old Bristolians RFC, 7 Bamboos RFC are proud to announce that the “Old B’s”, based in Failand, are now the official new training base for both, the men’s and women’s team.
The Tribute Western Counties North club runs three senior men’s team, a women’s team as well as mini and junior sides from under-5s all the way to a Colts team. The clubhouse and pitches provide the ideal environment to prepare the teams for the 7s tournaments during the summer.
In the past, 7 Bamboos Rugby has run events with Old Bristolians RFC before, such as a Junior 7s Day. The club has always been extremely supportive, and we like to thank junior chairman Paul Tinkler, Colts team manager Martin Picton and women’s head coach Aimee Kelly for their great help in building valuable links with the club.
For the Season Launch 2018, 7 Bamboos RFC invites women’s and men’s players to come together to start another season with an open training session and a team dinner. The training starts at 7PM.
In addition, to the new training base, the club is also delighted to present a new main sponsor. From this season onwards, our kit supplier Raging Bull has been named the Bamboos main sponsor. The Gloucestershire-based Sportswear brand has already been a fantastic partner during the past two years, providing all training and playing kit. Therefore, it is a huge honour to welcome the rugby specialists brand as our main sponsor for the 2018 season.
Besides a brand-new women’s and men’s team kit, Raging Bull will also provide the kit for the Bamboos Germany Tour 2018 in July, where the team is joining forces with the German touring side Bataillon d’ Bamboos to play at the countries biggest 7s tournament, the AMS Sevens.
The whole sponsorship wouldn’t be possible, without the outstanding work of Raging Bull’s Andy Deacon. Therefore we like to thank Andy for his great commitment.
