England Rugby’s premier competition for amateur men’s and women’s sevens teams is returning for the fourth year, with a new streamlined format which will see the best men’s and women’s teams from local qualifying tournaments progress to National Finals.
The Secure Trading Sevens Series welcomes men’s and women’s sevens teams to 35 different local qualifying tournaments, with the most successful teams then progressing to the National Finals to be crowned the best men’s and women’s teams in England.
First launched in 2016, the Secure Trading Sevens Series aims to grow sevens rugby for men and women. Last year, the competition attracted 10,700 players from across the country, with the series growing steadily year on year.
The local qualifier events will take place from April to June across England. The Secure Trading Sevens National Finals, on 29 June, will combine rugby, entertainment and live music ensuring a unique experience on and off the pitch for players and spectators. As well as winning the title, this year’s winning men’s and women’s teams will also win hospitality at HSBC London Sevens 2020, which promises to be the must see bank holiday sporting event on 25th & 26th May.
