The Tigers are the 7s team of the biggest and longest-running women's rugby club in Gloucestershire. The first team currently competes in the RFUW Championship South 1. Captain Emma Mundy and the team have raised over £1,000 for the Alzheimer’s Society during their 7s activities. Promoting the Alzheimer’s Society is one of the team's focus. Each season, the Tigers travel to a number of tournaments in and around the South-West of England.
The team formed in Summer 2014 managed to win the National Junior Cup in their first year. Under the guidance of the highly experienced England Women's 7s Coach Susie Appleby the side had a very strong first season in the new Tyrrells Premier 15s league. It's fair to say, that women's rugby is now an essential element of the highly successful Hartpry
We are delighted to welcome another international team to this year's Hartpury Sevens. This highly successful ladies side from the German capital are specialised in 7s and have won the domestic league a few times in recent years. Captain Vivian Bahlman has played in Cheltenham in past and is very familiar with Gloucestershire's rugby landscape.
7 Bamboos RFC
This is only the second season for the women's section of 7 Bamboos RFC. However in the first year the Bamboos ladies managed to qualify for the regionals of the 24/Sevens Series. In partnership with Old Bristolians RFC, the Bamboos Ladies are excited to play again a number of competitions this year.
