Bamboos captain Sue Neumann has been awarded the Bamboo of the Year prize 2018. The 23-year-old competed in all tournaments this season apart from one and was one of the leading characters in a highly successful season which the Bamboos women's team finished among the top four in the country.
At the first-ever Germany tour, Sue also played a vital role, helping the team to win the countries biggest tournament. In the absence of last seasons captain Lucy Juffkins, Sue took over the captains armband this year and demonstrated outstanding leadership qualities.
This winter Sue is starting a sabbatical spending a skiing season in Austria followed by a trip through South America together with her partner and fellow Alice Rooke and we wish both of them all the best for the upcoming year.
