Speaking of the day’s action and their place in the Cup semi-finals USA Captain Ben Pinkelman reflected on four wins from four and a home semi-final in Las Vegas. “We came into this tournament knowing we’ve made the semi-final three years in a row and it was all about taking that next step. So we're just going to come out, stick to our game-plan and hopefully, we will be able to make it all the way to that Cup.”
In the Challenge Trophy France, Scotland, Wales and Canada all progressed to Sunday’s semi-finals after wins over Uruguay, Russia, Samoa and Spain respectively. France will face Wales in the first Trophy semi-final and Scotland will face Canada in the second.
