WE NEED YOUR OLD BOOTS!
Do you have a pair of rugby boots or any other rugby equipment which is still in good shape but not used anymore? If so, please get in touch.
We are collecting boots, balls, shirts and other equipment for the Bula Boots charity in Fiji. All equipment will be shipped from the UK to Fiji, to support the less privileged next generation of 7s players.
Just message us to arrange a collection or delivery. We will cover the costs for postage.
Thank you so much for your help!
About Bula Boots
Bula Boots was set up in 2018 to help provide rugby equipment to those in need out in Fiji. Inspired by the way Fijians play the game we thought it was time to give back to the island and encourage the development of the sport that provided us with so much enjoyment over the years.
The charity has been set up in the UK with the help of Ben Ryan, who coached Fiji to Olympic Gold in 2016 as well as winning the HSBC World Series with the team on two occasions. Former Fiji 7s Team Manager, Rob Kauvesi, has then kindly agreed to help distribute the kit to those villages most in need.
Initially, the boots and other items will be sent to the Serua Province, which is one of the 14 provinces in Fiji. Their rugby team plays in Fiji’s B division competition and they also have 10 clubs participating in their local club competition, with the majority of them being village teams.
Then, hopefully, once the scheme becomes more popular we will be able to expand into other areas of the country as well.
